The provincial government should not be intervening in municipal affairs. Especially after municipalities have detailed studies before implementing things like bike lanes, detailing all of the added benefits. Lire davantage

Why are you doubling down on your bad decisions here? An amendment detailing the removal of specific lanes in Toronto when no review of them has been done by the province as was originally proposed would happen - really? Lire davantage

The update that requires removal of existing bloor, Yonge and university lanes makes this so much worse. Those are some of the safest areas of the city to ride, and encourage many people to ride, where they would have taken a car instead. Removing that safety encourages those people back into cars. This doesn't seem to be going in the right direction. We should be encouraging more use of public transit and bikes instead of cars. Lire davantage

This is a terrible idea. Absolutely terrible. People will die, the city will suffer and there will be more traffic.

This bill is an atrocious waste of taxpayer money, ripping out perfectly good cycling infrastructure and putting up red tape for no benefit. Lire davantage

I use bike lanes on a daily basis to get to and from work in the downtown core. Bike lanes are efficient, help prioritize climate change and also help with congestion. Please reconsider a callous and harmful policy that is based on a serious lack of evidence and judgement.

I will not vote for Doug Ford if he pushes this through. This is ridiculous.

I live in Etobicoke close to the Bloor bike lanes. I use them often, and would like for my children and the children of others in our area to use them to safely get around. Lire davantage

I rely on the Bloor and University bike lanes to get to my job safety. I rely on them to visit my parents with my 7 year old son. I am deeply disappointed that the province of Ontario wants to waste my tax dollars to remove existing infrastructure. Lire davantage

This is a brain-dead decision which will only help in increasing congestion while reducing economic benefit to local business.

Not supporting this, as there are study shows that proper built bike lanes will not cause traffic congestion, it prompt green transportation, ease traffic congestion. Looks other city, like Vancouver BC, Norway, Finland, New York, they all have bike lanes built in the city. Lire davantage

Bike lanes on Bloor St., Yonge St., and University Ave are critical fornthe safety of riders and should not be removed. Bike rider concentrations are high in denser parts of the city and are highly utilized. Lire davantage

There is significant data showing that biking has increased significantly in Toronto. "Bike Share Toronto statistics show that ridership on its network of shared bikes has increased dramatically since 2015, when 665,000 bike trips were made annually. In 2023, that shot up to 5.7 million trips." Lire davantage

This is a ridiculous bill that has no basis in fact or engineering principals. Countless studies show that bike lanes reduce traffic congestion over the long term. This also completely ignores the EA process that took place prior to it's construction. Lire davantage

I fully support the bike lane removal. These bike lanes make no sense as you move away from the city core and have been highly disruptive to businesses and families. Designated bike routes along lower traffic routes make more sense than bike routes everywhere. Lire davantage
