Although I don't favour any part of the bill, the portion of the bill allowing the Province to review future installations is at least palatable - but only if the review process is truly a review. Lire davantage

Shame on you for wanting to rip out the bike lanes! You need to add more bike lanes to increase the quality of life and on-foot traffic. Increase our bike lanes and reduce car traffic!

We need bike lanes in Ontario! More cyclist commuters and fewer car commuters resolves the issue of congestion much more effectively!

Bike lane is one of the best things happened in Toronto. It provides a quick and easy method for people to get around in the city SAFELY. Having them bike lanes put Toronto up on par with some other best cities in the world such as Paris, Amsterdam and the list goes on. Lire davantage

The non-sensicle focus on car first infrastructure. Cars aren't stuck in gridlock, they are the gridlock. That means to combat gridlock you need to provide options other than cars. Bikes are part of that.

I strongly disagree with the removal of existing bike lanes on Bloor and Davenport. Bike lanes provide alternative, safe transportation routes and as the parent of two children, these lanes will protect them when they travel downtown. Lire davantage

I find it shocking that the Ontario Government is considering removing freedom of choice and personal responsibility from it's citizens. Bike lanes give people options to take ownership over their way of getting around. Lire davantage

Toronto has a huge issue with congestion, and the more people on bikes, and the fewer people in cars, the clearer the roads will be!

Adding more car lanes increases traffic. This is a phenomenon well understood by city planners. The more car infrastructure you build, the more inclined people will be to drive. The more people drive, the more traffic there is. Lire davantage

Bike lanes encourage people to ride instead of driving, helping reduce traffic. Governments need to do everything possible to reduce pollution. Sadly the Government of Ontario has taken and continues to take many regressive steps that contribute to the deterioration of our climate.

I don’t own a bike, and personally, I don’t feel safe biking on Toronto’s streets. However, I do drive in downtown Toronto, and I strongly believe that this proposal to remove bike lanes is a step backward. Lire davantage

I use the bike lanes on Bloor every day to commute to work at Toronto Western Hospital. It is safe and gets me to work faster than if I drove my car. There are always many other bike commuters riding in the lane with me. If the lane was removed and we had to drive, it would make traffic worse.

The proposed bill should be rejected outright as not based on a proper assessment of the evidence and the costs and benefits of bike lanes, including: their impact on congestion, on human health and safety, on air quality, on accessibility and fairness (not everyone can or wants to drive), the costs Lire davantage
