I oppose removing bike lanes and making the lives of those who live and work downtown worse. This government should encourage more alternative transportation methods

I love driving, but cyclists should not be in our way, just leave them with their dedicated lanes and it is better and safer for both of us

In this day and age when we were trying to increase physical activity of Ontario citizens, increase safety of all citizens, and reduce our climate emissions, it is vital that we retain and continue to build bike lines as an option for all Ontarians to be able to commute, exercise and carry out their Lire davantage

Can you please provide data to support your claim that these bike lanes are causing the congestion and not the lack of transit infrastructure, excessive parking? These seems politically driven. I have voted conservative for the last 18 years but this is an embarrassment. Lire davantage

Bike lanes should be controlled by municipal government. They know and understand the traffic and community best. I am against bill 212! J.W.

I will chain myself to the bike lane and Doug will need to physically remove me before this can happen. What an embarrassment to the province and to the city. The eglinton lrt is has been in construction for 14 years and you are talking about ripping up bike lanes ? Get your head out of the sand.

This is just a terrible, terrible idea. There are more and more cyclists within the city, in particular riding e-bikes. They must be given room to be used. Lire davantage

Removing bicycle lanes will only make traffic worse by putting more cars on the road. I'm worried about the increase of pollution and noise that will also increase by having more cars on the road. Bicycle lanes are a healthy alternative to driving that should be encouraged instead of admonished. Lire davantage

Bike lanes saves lives. As a resident of downtown Toronto, I chose to live downtown for the various options to get from point A to point B without driving. One of the options is biking. Why are we removing bike lanes so that people from the suburbs can drive into the city. Lire davantage

Preserving and expanding bike lanes in Toronto is essential for creating a safer, more sustainable, and accessible city for everyone. Personally, I’ve noticed a huge difference in the newly built University Avenue bike lanes—I can commute with a sense of security that wasn’t there before. Lire davantage

I am appalled to see this proposal put forward. It would be an egregious waste of taxpayer money to remove these recently-installed bike lanes, and these lanes are critical pieces of infrastructure contributing to the safety of cyclists in this city. Lire davantage
