Bill 5, specifically the repeal of the Endangered Species Act should not be approved in its current form. There must be a another way to streamline the processes that were implemented to protect our environment without handing over so much control to profit driven corporations.

Please re-consider the passage of Bill 5 until there has been more complete consultation with affected communities, particularly Indigenous ones, and further study of the proposed amendments that, on the face of it, seem to unnecessarily endanger the environment and vulnerable species.

This is essentially a piece of legislation to say we can do whatever we want wherever we want and we don’t care what residents, communities or First Nations think
This is not democracy. Previous legislation was put in place for good reasons and should be respected.

As our environmental regulations are a gold standard. They should not be modified or changed for the worse. We do not need special economic zones. This will hurt jobs, instead of creating them. Our businesses know the current processes and how to work through them.
