Please keep protections for this vulnerable species. We need to ensure we don't lose valuable habitat for these plovers. Transferring land will put them at great risk. Please reconsider

I find this proposal to be utterly reprehensible, as it represents a clear favoritism towards developers and investors. Read more

I think that the proposal is a terrible idea. Far too much of the beach will be developed, and not to the benefit of Ontarians. I implore the provincial government to prevent this proposal from going any further.

Doug Ford - keep your hands, and the filthy hands of your developer friends, off of our provincial parks. What has been done to Toronto, ie the Toronto Science Center and Ontario place, is despicable and scandalous. Read more

Wassaga Beach Provincial Park and all Provincial Parks belong to the people of Ontario. They especially belong to all the species whose home it is, like killdeers and piping plovers, who already are endangered. Read more

Removing land from a public park for development goes against everything that makes sense for a viable future for this province and the health and wellbeing of its residents. The province should be adding more provincial parks not taking them away. Read more

I would be opposed to this amendment. I love natural areas, and with the threat of climate change and lack of real changes to combat emissions, I believe protecting natural areas is essential. Read more

The provincial parks should be left alone; once this corrupt provincial government allows them to be developed, the citizens lose access irreversibly. Read more

The beach areas should never be transferred to the town! Once the town has ownership of it, that will be the end of public access. How can you possibly guarantee that the public will always have access to the beach? A few years from now, the town will sell the beach areas to the hotel…. Read more

DON’T TOUCH WASAGA BEACH. Keep your grimy hands off our provincial parks and the endangered species that live in and around them. Those areas are not for you to develop anything around. It is beautiful the way it is and should never be changed. Read more

I do not agree to selling off parts of Wasaga Beach or any other provincial park. These places are important to the residents and tourists of Ontario, and selling or profiting off of them is immoral and irresponsible. Read more
