Water is a basic human right yet our Indigenous Communities don't all have the infrastructure or water to use, like the Six Nations in Ontario. Municipalities are to put in infrastructure and supply each property with water. Read more

Water taking is one of the most serious issues facing Canada and our globe today. NAFTA under Brian Mulroney sold this most precious non-renewable resource down the river in its commodification of water for profit. Read more

All taking of fresh water must be scrutinized carefully regardless of what was previously negotiated. Those negotiations may not be reasonable in this time of extreme changes. Fresh water is not limitless. It is a precious resource that must be protected. Read more

The changes will remove the necessary checks and balances, including environmental review and consultations with the public, Indigenous Nations, and municipalities. Water is not something to be transferred to benefit private corporations. Read more
