I do not agree with the proposed changes. No work that adversely impacts species at risk should be permissible within their habitat. Registering an activity or receiving a permit for an activity doesn’t make the impacts disappear. Read more

Conversation is as important as development. We are stewards of this land and need these protections in place. This doesn’t just affect Ontario but other places as well because of the migratory patterns of birds. We can progress and grow while protecting all life. Read more

We have no economy without nature. We have no homes, no businesses, no money without nature. We have no food, no water, no air without nature. We have no life without nature. Nature and wildlife should always be considered first. Build up not out. Repurpose already existing structures. Read more

It is the province’s duty to protect species that are at risk. With so much of their natural habitat paved over and ruined by modern infrastructure, it is so important for us to conserve what natural habitat that they have left. We need to speak up for species that can’t speak for themselves

As an ISA certified arborist with 25 years experience I am seeing extreme habitat loss, resulting in less birds throughout Ontario. Numbers are plummeting due to habitat loss, wildfires and diseases. As a professional, we find solutions for the customer that meets their needs. Read more

The Species Conservation Act is going to have irreversible damage for at-risk species in Ontario. This new act aims to remove protections from 35 at-risk bird species in the province which is dangerous and negligible due to the nature of these animals. Read more

Ontario needs to continue to protect the habitats of all species at risk. We as a province need to find solutions that provide people services without destroying habitats. We need these ecosystem services and the animals who contribute to them to continue to survive. We have the ability to do both.

I believe it is absolutely imperative that the at risk birds be supported as they have been to date. With the amount of building development in our province these birds must be protected Please listen to our voices on behalf of these endangered species. Read more
