It is up to the provincial government to protect, by law, the environment and species that inhabit or migrate through Ontario. We do not need to develop every inch of land. Other species live here, too. Already, we are seeing the death and extinction of so many life forms. Read more

Absolutely not. Removal of greenbelt and animal protections in favour of industry is destroying our earth and habitats. I am appalled at Doug Ford’s making light (at the Provincial debates) of the fact he promised to protect the Greenbelt but did not. Read more

As a lifelong PC voter, I have never been more disappointed in the Ford Government. Canada's nature is what our children should be inheriting. If this proposal goes through, I don't see myself able to vote for this government again in good conscious.

This proposal is incredibly harmful towards endangered species that we are already losing because of urban industry and infrastructure. It is important that we do not amend the endangered species act as this proposal suggests, as it will effectively put many endangered species in harms way. Read more

The natural environment of Ontario and the green belt is rapidly changing and Ontario needs to invest more into conservation of the species and their environments (dwellings, etc.) to ensure this is minimized and species that are at-risk can become no longer at-risk one day. Read more
