As an Ontario resident I am very opposed to the removal of the Ontario Endangered Species Act. It makes no ecological sense, and will only act to harm an already precarious and delicate system, which is already facing many threats from human encroachment and climate change.

This decision is not one done of our concern or respect for the land we’re on. I’m disappointed in my government for failing to be a steward of the place so many call home.
This act needs to be reconsidered. Without specific protections, you will cause mass extinction and leave us with no resources left to live here for. This revision does not make any improvements to the current Act, except to make the wealthy even wealthier. Be wiser.
There is no time for fanciful greetings when our lives are at risk because of greed and selfishness. The economy will not benefit from this bill; it will simply collapse once the natural resources supporting us are ruined by our greed.
