I oppose bill 5 and want protections in place for wildlife and nature. The more we destroy animals and nature, the more we destroy ourselves. We cannot live and act as though we aren’t connected. Canada must be a world leader in these types of protections.
The biodiversity of Canada, is one of its many aspects that makes it such a great country.
I believe this bill would greatly impact Canada as a whole, in a negative way. I hope that my comment and the many others will help you reconsider passing this bill.

Protecting at-risk species should not be deprioritized to fast-track development. If the government continues to erode conservation protections that took years of research to establish, we will lose these species that call Canada home.

I unequivocally regret any changes to the endangered species act and the violent extremist politicians that will kill everything in their wake, including themselves, in the pursuit of profit.

Bill 5 should be repealed, this bill is awful. Endangered species need too be protected not only for them but also for ourselves. Having a diverse and protected ecosystem is so important for our resilience as the climate and our communities change.
I believe that this policy will directly impact the lives of numerous native species that support the ecosystem humanity depends on. Without these species our quality of life will decline and our future generations to come will be harmlessly impacted.
