These MZOs would force extreme and reckless density on Midtown, more than double that of any comparable development in the GTA, without the infrastructure to support it; creating chaos and overwhelming transportation and services that are already overstressed, including local roads, transit, the GO Read more

We as a family (including my husband, kids and grandkids) have very real concerns about the development planned. Oakville needs more family-focused, complete-community housing, not investor-driven micro-units. Read more

This Oakville mega density makes no sense from any point of view. Permission for this should not be taken away from the local Oakville council. There is too much traffic congestion already in this area. Traffic snarl-ups are regular now without this development.

I am writing as an Oakville resident deeply concerned about your government’s recent decision to consider imposing four Minister’s Zoning Orders (MZOs) to force the revised Midtown Oakville Transit-Oriented Community (TOC) onto our town. Read more

A huge part of what makes Oakville charming is its size - which used to be small. While all things grow and evolve, going through with the mega buildings that are proposed removes a significant part of the essence of Oakville. Read more

I have been commuting along Trafalgar Road, specifically to and from downtown Oakville at least twice a day for the last 15 years. When I was made aware of the proposed high density development around the Oakville GO station my thoughts went from concern to despair. Read more

I vote no to the 4 minister’s zoning orders. Oakville needs family oriented housing in livable communities. There are enough studios and one bedroom condos in GTA high rises. It needs livable communities now. Let Oakville decide what’s best. Read more

This Transit-Oriented Community (TOC) fails to comply with Premier Ford’s Build Homes Faster agenda and will not deliver a single home before 2031, the Province’s own housing deadline, and will take 25 years to complete. OPA70 is a better alternative and is ready to go. Read more

This area already borders on over-development. Trying to drive through the area around 5 pm when the Go Train is the most active is almost impossible. A left hand turn on to Trafalgar Rd. is an exercise in frustration, no matter how long the advance green light might be. Read more
