Given the widespread concerns regarding flood management, water quality, wildlife extinction, etc. I suggest that conservation authorities need to retain, if not increase, control regarding the decision-making and input towards environmental regulations. Read more

Conservation Authorities are essential to Ontario; provision of education, major restoration, development and management of not only the watershed, which is crucial, but all natural resources so vital to our existence. The cost is far outweighed by the services provided. Read more

Though it's quite unclear how the government plans to "modernize" conservation authorities, I am concerned that these changes will result in threats to public safety. Conservation authorities protect our sourcewater, which is crucial for keeping clean drinking water. Read more

I am greatly concerned with that the provincial government has proposed to “modernize” the Conservation Authorities Act. The More Homes, More Choice 2019 Bill 108 proposes changes to 13 different Acts including the Conservation Authorities Act as Schedule 2. Read more

The proposed Bill 108 as it stands is a huge step backwards especially considering the Climate Change initiatives that should be done. We need more protection for species and business should have no ability whatsoever to inflict any damage to any ecosystem, environment, or species in any way. Read more
