I strongly oppose the proposal of Haliburton Waste dumping raw sewage at a place on the Barry Line. I live on the Barry Line and feel that it would contaminate the Redstone River or Cameron creek or Cameron Lake. Not to mention lowering the property value. That is not to mention the stench.

My family lives across the road from the proposed location. This proposal provides no information as to what exactly will be built, how it would the surrounding area, or the potential risks. I strongly oppose the construction of this facility.

Why is the environmental department going to realize that dumping waste on fertile farm land should not be allowed even when the fields have been left fellow for a number of years they can still be productive for generations but human waste will ruin the land. Read more

I live on the Barry Line and think this is a disgusting idea. The entire Barry Line is an old river bed running East to West turned into farm land . There would be no escape from the stench in this valley. The water table that this would compromise, is part of the Trent Water System. Read more

I would assume the private citizens living next door would not like the extra traffic nor negative impact on the value of their homes if this proposal goes through. My friend is looking to buy this summer a few properties down from there. Read more

This land is not zoned properly for this use. This land is in the middle of both a residential neighborhood and substantial tourism industry (cottage country). This will most definitely negatively impact the quality of living for the surrounding residents. Read more

My family and friends live in this area with a family oriented lifestyle and these people want to bring this to their wells and air. Also there is a lake very close and a River very close. What are they thinking ? Just about themselves. No one in this area wants this. Read more

Against. Cannot imagine visiting the area in the summer heat and not smelling that. Example ever smelt an outhouse on a hot day? That's what it will smell like only completely open. There are many people that live in this area... I'm sure that would not be appealing to live with. Read more

I strongly oppose the dumping of Human Waste on the Barry Line Rd. Haliburton, Ontario. I have also researched the effects of medications and chemotherapy on septic systems. If it effects that what will it do to the land where it is being dumped.

The proposal to dump on someone’s property, on a road where many children and elderly live, is a hazard and health threat to us all. You cannot do this in good faith, knowing that if there was a leak, everyone would be at risk. This is the worst idea of 2020.

I am strongly against the dumping of human waste on the Barry Line Property. I own property within 200 yards of the site. Not only will it cause many contaminate problems and smell but it will devalue my property immensely. Why wasn’t I notified of this proposal prior to the announcement. Read more

I am VERY worried about the odours this will create too close to my home. Extremely worried about the affect of run off and seepage into our water table and affect on our wells / drinking water- not in support of this at all

releasing sewage on fields so near a water source and water table is a recipe for an environmental disaster. The smell alone will be terrible, and as such, will likely lower property values in the surrounding area. Be a nice area to be in on a nice warm summer Guilford day.
