These leases in this park are the biggest scam to taxpayers in the local area ever devised, which is why cottagers fight so ferociously to protect them. These properties if outside the park with similar lakeshore frontage would be worth 2-5 million dollars each easily. Read more

As a senior citizen living in Erieau, I believe the cottages should be allowed to remain in Rondeau and the land sold to them at prices equivalent to Erieau land prices. We pay 6,000. in taxes for a fifty foot lot. They got off cheap for many years. Read more

The cottages in Rondeau Park need to go now! The province has already had plenty of years to give eviction notices to the elitist folks who've had unfair advantage there for decades and who continue to do harm to the environment there. Read more

Rondeau is a provincial park. It may have been originally set up for cottages but that was then and times have changed. There should not be any cottages in this provincial park and it should be reverted to a natural environmental state. Read more

I am a Cottage owner. My family has been a cottage owner since 1934. I have seen the peak times in the Park with over 400 cottages, and I have never seen any actual facts, that the number of species has declined over that time because of cottage activity. Read more
