20 years ago , we bought a nice , big , brand new ,detached in Vaughan for $230k with $15k down payment .
Nowadays if young people put down $150k where can they buy a small house? Average old house in Vaughan is over 1.6 million! Our wage did not increase 10 times since then.

Bill 23 and the proposed housing developments in the Greenbelt seriously undermine good planning principles and totally ignore the urgency of climate change. These will be auto dependent communities and dependent on 'near term servicing by developers with local infrastructure upgrades'.

I feel strongly opposed to this. Toronto’s greenbelt is critical to keep not only for environmental reasons but for the mental and physical health of residents. There are numerous studies showing the benefits of walking and being active in nature.

This reminds me of the attempt to close libraries in Toronto. If I remember correctly, to facilitate the operation of fast food franchises. Shame! What about trees, birds, watersheds, greenhouse gases as people make long commutes? This is sprawl, not an increase in housing density!

I do not support this. Fragmenting the green belt is not ok. This goes against what the conservative government said in 2018. Apparently the conservative government of Ontario is against environmental protection.
