• Get on with a meaningful Greenbelt expansion that reflects public input – repeatedly promised but never delivered by the Ford government.

I vehemently oppose the land swap proposal for the Greenbelt area. In the greater Toronto area we do not need further sprawl we need high density housing next to higher order transit close to amenities arts culture and other urban areas.

The government of Ontario should not develop into the green belt. We should preserve our green spaces and prevent sprawl from reaching further into the province.
Do not remove or redesignate 15 areas of land and add lands in the Paris Galt Moraine area. Protect the Greenbelt and stop Fied/ his landowner friends from profiting “green” off “the green”
I believe that building up as opposed to building out is the solution to more homes built faster. The green belt has long been a source of pride for Ontarians in addition to providing numerous ecological benefits such as flood protection.

Southern Ontario is already vastly overdeveloped and devoid of forestry. The Greenbelt is an integral remaining lonely bastion of green space in the province. It offsets carbon emissions and is a refuge for wildlife. To destroy it would be the antithesis of our former motto, “keep it beautiful.”
