This is completely unnecessary and just as disingenuous and ill-gotten an idea as removing lands from the Greenbelt and redrawing municipal boundaries to further chip away at protected areas and our waters for the sake of private business profit. Read more

I am against this proposal. The environment should be protected and there should be no shortcuts to obtaining this permit. The long term success of Ontario and Canada depend on it.

Hi, I very much disagree with the proposed changes. You start by saying that "Good management of stormwater is an important part of ensuring Ontario has clean water for drinking, manufacturing products and recreational activities now and into the future." Read more

I oppose removing approvals, or allowing self registration and reporting for any environmental issue. It has been made clear for decades that when the power of self-regulation has been given to companies and potential polluters, the environment has suffered. Read more

Developers should have to pay extra to ensure proper infrastructure is in place to handle storm water. The Cost should then be passed down to the purchaser. If the purchaser is not an individual, the fee should triple

Absolutely not. This PC gov has lost all public trust with how they have been operating I regards to developers. From Greenbelt, MZO, Ontario place to only name a few, allowing developers to bypass permit review is the most ridiculous thing ever

Permits and approvals keep us and our environment safe. No oversight will ensure our safety and environmental health is compromised. Short term gain to the long term detriment of our people and ecosystems.

this proposal as it would bypass their engineering/ surface- and groundwater review process and essentially undo the last 40 years of improvements to environmental protection

Public consultation should always be available in application processes. Conservation authorities must be involved in planning and oversight on stormwater management on any site. Read more

Absolutely not. Who benefits from this proposal? Definitely NOT the people, environment, and water shed system. There are approval requirements for a REASON for the safety of our local residents and environment. Read more

I am strongly opposed to this. This is placing way too much trust in developers, who time after time have demonstrated their greed and their prioritization of profits over safety. This hides behind the guise of supporting housing needs in a time of crisis but this is a massive safety oversight.

This cannot be allowed. The environmental disaster caused by the Brenntag fire should be evidence enough that this is not a place to be cutting 'red tape'. More accountability and environmental oversight is needed, not the opposite.
