I am completely against this proposal. We need strict and careful environmental protections. We cannot have people barging through and destroying everything in their path because they want to make a few dollars. Shameful

I am a resident of Leeds & Grenville and I am 100% against these changes! This is just another way for the Ford Government to stick it to Ontario’s taxpayers, to benefit their buddies! Stop the deceitfulness before this becomes another Greenbelt fiasco for the Cons! Read more

These changes increase the risk of groundwater depletion, floods, pollution from storm water runoff and droughts from inadequate storm water management. The last thing this government should be doing is reducing oversight of such an important resource with direct environmental impacts. Read more

With respect to effluent targets (TSS and Oil) there has been a comparison to construction dewatering activities. Construction dewatering and treatment is done with pumped systems. A very large dewatering system at 400 gpm is only treating 25 l/s. Read more

I am a Ward 3 Etobicoke Lakeshore resident and this needs to be reviewed in light of the Brenntag fire that polluted Mimico and Humber creeks (MECP Skill Reference # 1-3Q4A8M) as the site didn't have spill protection and runoff found its way into the storm sewers. Read more

I do not agree with this proposed policy change. This will weaken environmental protections and do harm. Please listen to your constituents. Do not go forward with these changes.

This conservative government can’t be trusted. The last thing the environment needs is less protection. I’m sure this would be just another way to somehow line someone’s pockets at the expense of the health and well-being of the taxpayers. Read more

Circumventing the current process is a risk to the current standards set in place to protect the environment and safety/efficiency of water management. This should not move forward. Read more

After the industrial fire that resulted in the devistating Mimco creek spill, it's obvious we need better communication regarding waterside hazardous materials. This 'streamlining' is hiding information from the Ministry of The Environment. Read more

I am not happy with this proposal as someone who has lived in Ontario my whole life. As hard as it is for smaller and expanding business to pay for these environmental assessments, they are necessary to protect the general public.

I am strongly opposed to the changes being put forward to stormwater management under the Environmental Activity and Sector Registry. The public must have input on stormwater applications as any project will affect the neighbouring properties and wetlands. Read more
