Please demand that york1 undergo a comprehensive environmental assessment. This would completely destroy the entire community of Dresden. Every single person who lives here and around here is 100% against this, it isn’t right!
Please require a full EA for this proposal. You have received 1000s of comments already with all the concrete evidence on why this should require a Full EA. This site is less than 1km from our town and affects our drinking water, wildlife, water wells, and our health.

I strongly believe that an environmental assessment is required and necessary. I also believe that this location for the landfill and recycling project near Dresden ON is way too close to Dresden. Any landfill/recycling site should be at least 10 km from any small town or city.
This note is to express my concern for the health and safety of our community should the proposal for the expansion and relocation of a Landfill and the development of a Regenerative Recycling Facility put forth to the Environmental Registry of Ontario by York1 be approved.

ponds on the site hold endangered species turtles and drain directly into Sydenham River
An environmental assessment must be done. There are far too many risks to the local residents health. ABC news is airing a documentary right now called “Trashed”. A very good documentary about dumps and pollution and small cities.

Good morning. I find it amazing to have to message to request a proposed dump site be denied. The proposed mega dump site by York 1 is less than 1 km from the town of Dresden and 1-3 kms of an entire population of ~2500. York 1 is piggy backing on an abandoned dump site- abandoned 40+ years ago.

Please take into consideration the towns concerns on building this massive landfill. This should not be allowed to go ahead considering the adverse effects this could cause to the wetland surrounding the area and the people living in this town. MAKE THEM DO A FULL ENVIRONMENTAL ASSESSMENT.
It seems absolutely everything surrounding this project points to the NEED FOR AN ENVIRONMENTAL ASSESSMENT.

We live down river from where this dump is going to be. We are in our 70's and had so many spills from the chemical plants in Sarnia over the years and now this! Nobody needs this to affect their health or anything else. Please don't go through with this dump!

How can you put a mega dump this close to Dresden when you all know it is not safe. Less than 1 km from our town and risking all of our health with no concern. Using paperwork from the 1970s. Think about what you would do if this was your family and loved ones. I’m sure it wouldn’t happen.

This is WAY too close to our town, any town for that matter. I cannot even fathom how this is being considered. This is not a recycling facility, it is a full service garbage dump (taken directly from York1’s site). The health and environmental impacts of this would be astronomical.
