Endangered species are important! More important than building highways! They were here first. We need to hear from indigenous people and voters… please don’t allow a bill that will by-pass any kind of checks and balances!! Read more

NO BILL 5! I care deeply about our environment and one of the most beautiful and valuable things about Ontario and Canada in general is our beautiful wildlife. Being in nature heals people. Looking at beautiful natural views makes people happier. Read more

It is very important to me that Ontario continues to maintain it's wildlife and nature. We are supposed to be stewards of this land and protect it, and conservation is crucial to that. I find these proposed changes completely repulsive and I strongly stand against them.

I oppose Bill 5. It’s ever important that we continue to have important processes in place to evaluate potential impacts on the environment and the community before moving too quickly to develop land for other purposes. We cannot continue to push remaining endangered species to extinction. Read more

I oppose this bill. I oppose government and industry taking shortcuts to destroy the environment just to enrich a select group of people. And I oppose how secretive this whole process has been. It’s undemocratic.

I strongly oppose Bill 5. Environmental laws protect land, animals, & the population. It’s extremely disturbing that we have a governing body who feels it acceptable to circumvent the law in order to fulfil an agenda that benefits them & their donors over their constituents. Read more

Please ensure any policies about this rely on science, not government discretion or private sector influence. Please don't create “Special Economic Zones” where development would override conservation. Read more

The economy does not need to be unleashed, it needs to be restructured. There is no reason why the economy cannot be developed in an environmentally friendly manner besides arrogance and greed. Read more

I oppose Bill 5. We need stronger environmental protections and the protection of endangered species—industry does not deserve more rights than endangered species. It should be more difficult for corporations to damage the environment, not easier. Read more

I oppose Bill 5. We need better environmental protections. Instead we see they are being removed. This is an opportunity for the Ontario government to protect our future instead of putting it at risk.

This is the most horrendous idea I have ever seen. Ya let’s kill the world even faster. But it’s ok because we’re “protecting Ontario” that’s bs. We could make trade agreements with eu and China and be practically rid of the US all together and not have to kill Ontario wildlife.

I stand against bill 5. There are regulations set in place to conserve our lands. This protects our wildlife and resources, and the quality of building zones. When people cut corners or build on wet lands the structure of the buildings are compromised and the people living there pay. Read more
