As a scientist and resident of Ontario, I strongly oppose this bill. This bill would eliminate key environmental protections as well as legal safeguards to protect Indigenous people and their land. This bill will help corporations at the expense of the environment and vulnerable communities.

Weakening the Act is bad policy. A green policy is more than just EV cars and batteries, nuclear power plants and wind mills. The human well being is completely dependent on the macro environment which includes wildlife. Without supporting wildlife, we condemn the human species.

I oppose Industry shortcuts that weaken environmental protection. Moving forward, housing is very important, but it is not worth being done at the cost of the environment and species diversity. Having shortcuts for corporate jobs is not the solution that should be used.
