Bill 5 is a disaster. Haven’t we encroached enough upon our wildlife? There is plenty of land out there to develop for housing etc that’s already been destroyed and now abandoned. Instead of consuming more wildlife habitat why not utilize areas that are no longer being used? Read more

I do not agree with the proposed changes. I believe this will harm these animals more than help them. As an Ontario resident, I want to see our animals and their habitats protected more, not less. This is less.

I oppose this bill. I care about the environment in a time where climate crisis is at a critical point. We have to do right by future generations by trying to save what little wildlife we have left, no matter the costs. This is not about us, or our money, or our country. Read more

This change in act is absolutely detrimental on so many levels.. I am appalled that it has even made it to the table for consideration. Allowing such a Bill would decimate lands and species that live on them and would also hurt the public. Read more

I oppose bill 5. We need to leave the natural resources alone. Destroying nature is not solving the cost of living crisis. Fix buildings, rehabilitate. You don't need to take over green space that is important to the health of our nation for more homes. Read more

Do not prioritize industrial growth over the health and safety of nature! There is a reason you currently can’t build on land that is home to endangered species, and that is to prevent further endangerment. Do not drive species to extinction because you want to build a new condo.
