I oppose bill 5. Capitalist corporations are not good stewards of natural resources. Do not sell Canada's most important resources to the fastest bidder. We as a province should benefit from our natural resources not some ceonwhonwill commit tax fraud and rob us blind. Protect our land and animals

This proposal should be quashed immediately. The Ontario government has no expertise on how to classify species and should not have the power to determine this. This should be done solely by external independent sources qualified to do so as what is currently in place. Read more

As an Indigenous citizen here in so called ontario, I strongly oppose these proposed changes to the Endangered Species Act, which will allow "most proponents to begin an activity immediately after registering" (aka, destroy land and habitats, ask questions later). Read more

This is so cut and dry, it's not even funny. We, as in humanity, literally need the natural environment to survive. If we can't even make it easier to protect, preserve, and prevent further degradation to the very thing that keeps us alive, what is the point of doing anything else? Read more

This Bill also ignores Indigenous Rights, as it attempts to fast track approval for mining projects in the Ring of Fire. The minerals found within the Ring of Fire cannot be developed without consulting and negotiating the use of this land with First Nations People.

I oppose bill 5. I want stronger environmental protections and the protection of endangered species. I oppose shortcuts for industry. I oppose overriding the law in special economic zones.

I am strongly opposed to Bill 5. I believe that there should be stronger environmental protections. We can not sacrifice our green spaces, allow the destruction of wildlife habitats, or the contamination of our waterways just so some developers can get richer. Read more

No. No. No. We are not having this. I don't break my back fighting against ecological collapse for Doug Ford to hand out free passes to his buddies to bulldoze the forests. Read more

The content of this proposed legislation is horrifying. Ontario should make the choice to make it easier to build in areas where there is already development, there is no emergency so acute that we need to destroy the environment in such a short sighted way. Read more
