I understand that Ontario is under pressure—especially with tariff threats from the U.S.—and yes, we need to stay competitive and build faster. But speeding up environmental approvals through the proposed changes to the Endangered Species Act (and the new Species Conservation Act) is dangerous.

I do not support changes to environmental protections nor endangered species protection. I do not support giving businesses options to fast track or circumvent exisiting laws or protections.
We cannot allow this (or really any government body) to implement projects without public input. It is very clear that they have no concern for the environment and are willing to risk so much to allow for "economic" development that really only benefits businesses and finial supporters of Doug Ford.
I oppose Bill 5. It is imperative to protect endangered species and the environment. Environmental and farmland protection laws are important and should not be overlooked for the monetary gain of developers. I oppose short cuts for industry.
