I'm in favour of strong environmental protections. Economic concerns should never be prioritized over keeping our planet safe, healthy, and livable for humans and ecosystems.
I oppose bill 5. Industry should not be following short cuts when it comes to protecting the environment. Instead proper process should be reviewed to ensure that the necessary review is completed in an appropriate timeline.
We cannot possibly support this bill. It is a blatant attempt by the Provincial government to remove proper oversight and give themselves power to do whatever they choose - regardless of the environmental damage it causes the province.
