I fervently oppose the Bill 5, Protect Ontario by Unleashing our Economy Act, 2025. How can anything that destroys the land and species that came before us, and who enable all citizens to live, be called “protecting”? Do we as humans care about nothing more than our selfish desires?

We must stop Bill 5. Entire ecosystems that are within proposed “economic interest zones” are protected for a REASON. If we do not put our foot down and respect protected areas, we will have nothing left. When does it stop?

I strongly oppose bill 5, I want stronger protection for our valuable wildlife, not less! It’s bad enough what’s has happened to Ontario Place and all the displaced coyotes and other wildlife. I also strongly opposed short cuts for industry. We have 1 planet! Let’s protect it!

NO to this bill. It’s is are duty to protect the environment and endangered species, not to create shortcuts to demolish these area for developers to build on it.
This proposal fails to outline how, after registering to begin construction projects, businesses and corporations will be monitored or regulated to ensure they are following environmental guidelines. Instead it removes this safety net and strips power away from regulating bodies.
