I oppose Bill 5. It is incredibly important to protect endangered species. I am sick and tired of financial gain being prioritized over the environment. Bills like this set a precedent for further disregard of nature. It is very upsetting to even see such a bill be proposed.
I don’t agree with the proposal. I can’t imagine developers will follow any rules set in place. Bulldoze and ask for forgiveness and pay a fine? Honestly, it’ll just be the cost of doing business for them. Unless some very high penalties are put in place this will be a joke.
I am opposed to the proposed interim changes to the Endangered Species Act, 2007 (ESA). The ESA was enacted to provide science-based, legal protection to Ontario’s most vulnerable species and their habitats.

Prioritize long term gains in benefits to Ontario via saving native species and habitat vs short term goals of $. Where will you and your buddies spend all your $ if there is no world to spend it? Makes sense.
