There will be nothing left of Ontario to raise our children in if we kill our endangered species and pave over our wetlands. I oppose these changes to the Endangered Species Act and I oppose any hasty dystopian design and destruction of an Ontario that only benefits the rich.
The endangered species act is fine as it is; it does not need to be altered or repealed as proposed in the bill. Species conservation needs to remain mandatory and not be changed to voluntary.

I oppose Bill 5. This bill will effectively make wildlife protection a political choice, not a scientific one. Economic development cannot trump the protection of living things. There is already so much destruction of habitats everywhere I look in Ontario, even where I live in a more rural area.
