I firmly disagree with this proposed change to how endangered species are protected, particularly with the part about the list of endangered species being at the discretion of the government. Read more

Hi there, I do not agree with the proposed changes put forth by Bill 5. The current applicable permits are in place for good reason - to prevent companies wantonly developing land they haven't properly surveyed for the ecological and environmental impacts of their builds. Read more

I am very disappointed to see this bill being proposed and moving forward with so little media coverage. I hope that Ontario can move towards more sustainable policies in the future. Read more

I oppose Bill 5 and its attempts to circumvent environmental regulations/protections. The government should not have the power to ignore laws, especially the ones put in place to protect the people and our environment. Stop selling off our natural lands and resources for profit. NO to Bill 5!!

Please don’t pass Bill 5. Please reject it in its entirety. Another Bill can be put together that doesn’t allow a total disregard for the survival or many species and the rights of many humans. There are better ways to advance our economy and development. Read more

I find this a poorly disguised way to gut the protection of endangered plants and animals. Like the greenbelt fiasco this leaves a bitter taste in my mouth. Money is not the sole criteria for good decision making.
