I strongly oppose Bill 5. I want stronger protections for endangered species, not less. I do not want industry or business able to take shortcuts to achieve their goals. Special interests and back door deals are all too common in Ford govt. Read more

I oppose Bill 5. We need stronger protections in place for all wildlife, especially endangered species. Development projects and infrastructure are not more important than our environment or the species within them. I am opposed to government members receiving short cuts for building projects. Dear Doug Ford, I was born and raised in Ontario. Growing up in new Tecumseth area and frequently cottaging in Parry sound area. What draws me and hundreds of thousands of people to our province every year is our landscapes!!! Our wildlife! Theres SOOOO much more to Ontario than the GTA. Read more

I know Doug Ford is just doing this so he can call the entire area of the proposed highway 413 a "special economic zone" so that he can bypass all the Ontario species at risk regulations and mow down the habitat without having to compensate for it. DISGUSTING. We see right through this corruption.

This is an absolute miscarriage of provincial government policy. Bill 5 should in no way be allowed to pass into law. The bill does open Ontario for the sake of the economy, it will destroy a large portion of the province for short term gain by a small number of interested parties.

Removing safegards to environmental protection is foolish. Our environment is already under duress due to our use of fossil fuels. Our lives depend on a clean environment. Money cannot buy a safe life in a ruined environment. Read more

Why would we take this action when there are so many other ways to “unleash the economy”?! This is short-term thinking with long-term implications. I’ve only lived in Ontario since birth and want to continue living here. Please stop.
