I do not want Bill 5 to pass. I am concerned for the environment in Ontario and this bill takes away protections of at risk species. Do not push this bill through.
Scientists agree that habitat destruction is the main driver of biodiversity loss. Ontario’s current Endangered Species Act includes habitat protection provisions for threatened and endangered species.
Do not remove these protections.

I oppose any proposed changes to the current Species at Risk Act, specifically the proposed amendment to allow activity to commence upon registration.
I am deeply concerned that the government will have sole discretion to determine which species are at risk.

Can the ford government just stop. We didn’t want the green belt touch yet here they go again but it’s for the ‘economy’ this time…. Leave our endangered species act alone and our protected land.
There is significant issues with animals and their loss of habitat currently, stripping the little protection of their habitat that they currently have - would place them even more at risk.
