I strongly oppose Bill 5, the Protect Ontario by Unleashing Our Economy Act. This legislation poses a serious threat to Ontario's natural heritage, democratic processes and Indigenous rights. Once removed, extinct species do not return. Read more

The proposed changes are a step backward in protecting species at risk in Ontario. Firstly, narrowing down the definition of habitat to just the immediate area around a dwelling and/or the dwelling itself doesn't consider the other habitat uses of species. Read more
