Ontarians have not asked for weaker protections or less say in decisions that affect the province’s land, water and future. Bill 5 would silence community voices, marginalize science and erase decades of hard-won environmental progress.
Instead of allowing the development of otherwise green spaces to be done prior to permit approval, why not hire more staff so that permits can be approved with lower service standards thereby allowing the applicant to work sooner while protecting the environment?

A proposal and a shared thought: I think you are missing an opportunity to be a hero and a trailblazer. There are so many derelict contaminated old industrial sites that could be cleaned up and developed rather than eating into our precious forests, farms and greenbelt.
