We should not be changing the endangered species act and the species conservation act. If anything, we need to do more to protect the wildlife in the province. There is no good reason to get rid of or make changes to this act.

One of the reasons I moved to Ontario is the immense and stunning wildlife and natural beauty the province has to offer. This bill and its provisions would lay waste to the place that millions of Ontarioans, millions of native and endangered species and wildlife call home. Read more

It is so important to protect our green spaces and all of the biodiversity that requires them. Please do not let economics be more important than endangered species and all of the biodiversity that needs these spaces.

I don't totally understand all the legal complications in these changes but I would like to ensure that our greenbelt and wetlands remain protected for future generations. Read more

I vehemently disagree with this change. Doug Ford steamrolling environmental protections is continued reason why I will not vote PC on any government level. We need to promote economic growth while ALSO protecting our environment.

The elimination of this act is a shame on humans. Now more than ever wildlife need significant help, and this is a massive step in the wrong direction. We should be doing MORE than what this act serves but it is good enough for now. Read more

I believe that if this proposal were to be passed, it would ultimately lead to an abuse of it's freedoms (not requiring a permit prior). Individuals and corporations would absolutely take advantage of this and species / habitats would suffer the consequences. Read more

This is the most heartbreaking thing to happen to Ontario. If we end the endangered species act who will be the one to explain to our children that we didn't step up and protect something so vulnerable? That we just let this happen? Will it be you, the Ontario government? Read more

The greenbelt has been created to protect our environment and wildlife. The Ontario Government has no right to destroy what we have been working on for years. We should not be allowing builders to ignore the law and we should not change the laws to allow homebuilders to bypass laws. Read more

Ontario needs to mive forward not backward in protecting our wildlife. If we stop protecting habitat it's like telling a home owner 'you can keep your house but we won't give you a road or hydro anywhere nearby. Save the habitat! Read more
