This is insane! This is a time when we need to improve environmental protection laws, not go backwards! We teach children to not litter, to save water and energy, to care for the earth and creatures on it - why do politicians think it’s ok to teach and do otherwise? Read more

I oppose Bill 5. It guts protections, ignores science, and tramples Indigenous rights. In these times it's extremely important to protect our endangered wildlife. Scrap the bill Read more

As an Ontario resident and Canadian citizen, I am strongly NOT in favor of this proposal. These protections are important for the long-term environmental health of our province, and there are better solutions to adding housing that don't involve paving over protected habitat.

Reducing habitat protections for endangered species is blatantly driving these animals to extirpation or extinction. Southwestern Ontario is the most biodiverse part of Canada, and simultaneously the most overdeveloped. There is few natural land and what remains is far from what it once was. Read more

Protecting endangered species through legislation and enforcement is very important to myself, our property my community and I hope you will consider strengthening protections for endangered species instead of reducing them.

The future of at-risk birds is important. Public forests, wetlands, and grasslands they depend on should be protected. It is unsustainable to continue to sacrifice the environment for money. Please reconsider this proposal!
