I oppose this bill it guts environmental protections and would forever change Ontario for the worse. The I Only ones that would benefit from this bill are builders by filling their pockets at the cost of the citizens of Ontario. Read more

Horrifying. Unsurprisingly short term thinking. Instead of making the tough decisions this government only continues to go the easy, irreversible, and most destructive route. When you’re done, future generations will look back on you all with disdain and history will not treat you kindly. Read more

I am very much against the elimination of the endangered species act. We share this planet with so many animals. Who wants a planet full of just humans? Destroying these ecosystems for what? To line the pockets of Mr Doug Ford and his building buddies. Read more

Why does this government think it is all right to allow the destruction of more and more natural habitat. We need to protect the few species we have left or we may find ourselves in a world that will no longer support us either. Read more

I was absolutely horrified to hear about these proposed changes. Your Government is ruining what Canada and Ontario are partly known for - beauty of nature and clean environment for species to thrive. Once you destroy a ecosystem or species it can never recover! Read more

Endangered species are in short supply...obviously. That is the concept of endangered species. So their occupancy of functional habitats will be numbered few. Habitats for endangered species are also in short supply. Read more

The new species conservation act is for the birds. Well, no, it's not, because it will reduce protection of essential habitat. Count me as an Ontario resident and voter who is strongly against this plan.

I agree that the process needs an overhaul. A high percentage of public concerns are frivolous and or vexatious. My personal experience was the Conservation Authority holding up my building plans over a drainage ditch that dried up in the summer. Read more

This proposal is entirely unacceptable. It opens a door for developers to begin work with no reasonable oversight. The risk for irreversible damage to species or ecosystems is far too great. Read more

I oppose the proposed changes to the Species Conservation Act. I don't care that the current act impedes and/or slows down the building of yet more McMansions on prime farm land, forested areas, and wetlands. Read more

This is a highly regressive and misdirected change that Ontario does not deserve. Please reverse this proposed change and continue to protect endangered species. Much has been written on the illogical approach which will depend on political whims instead of relying on science. Read more

This is not good at all for environmental protections of species at risk. These are necessary processes in housing development and are in place for a year. This should be reconsidered immediately!! Read more
