I do not agree with the outlined changes to the Ontario Heritage Act. Ontario has a rich Indigenous history with new archeological sites being uncovered regularly prior to land development and construction. Read more

The proposition of Bill 5 is disrespectful to archaeological heritage, Indigenous voices, and the environment, and is in no way “protecting” Ontario. Essentially, the bill allows developers to override laws and protective regulations to fast track development. Read more

I whole heartedly reject this Bill and movement to disregard Ontario heritage. Not only will the passing of the bill remove thousands of jobs across the province but will also go against the desires of the stewards of the land to protect it. No development is worth destroying natural habitats. Read more
