Please do not implement this proposal which seems to aim at drastically reducing or completely doing away with any greenery. It would be absolute madness in view of climate change resulting in catastrophic flooding and above normal temperatures which are now becoming the norm. Read more

Green roofs are one of the greatest innovations I have seen introduced in Toronto. To actively discourage them makes absolutely no sense to me. This government’s never ending desire to meddle with policies that are already working is appalling.

As a developer, we don't see a citys right to development standards as cost prohibitive or expensive. Development standards need to be streamlined for compliance and we need the construction industry to have lots of time to prepare. But they are not problematic to building in 90% of cases. Read more

Climate resilience measures do not slow down the building of homes. Perhaps if developers were encouraged to keep these measures in mind they same way that they keep the building code in mind, the approvals would be more expedient. Whats the point of having new homes if they become unlivable?
