As a long time Goulais River resident I’m very concerned that:
The Goulais River Is Already Showing Signs of Stress Before Any Discharge
The ACS monitoring data shows that the river is not in a condition that can safely and consistently accept additional nutrient or contaminant loading:

My family and float down the river every year, it’s something we hold dear to our heart and look forward to time and time again. This is unacceptable and unjust for the new search mount owners to come in, raise prices and threaten to destroy what our community cherishes.

I am writing to formally express my strong opposition to the proposed establishment of a wastewater treatment discharge into the Goulais River.

This proposal is simply not necessary. There are other alternatives for this for profit company which do not require effluent having to be released into the Goulais River. The WWTP is supposedly to allow for expansion yet there's been no commitment to expanding, only thoughts of.
