I came to understand from the presentation at the Searchmont community center that a lot of the safety measures for this waste water facility would be left to the ski resort to create and implement. I have first hand experience with the ski hills lack of regard for safety.

This project should not be allowed to proceed. Water safety should always come first. There are many people who live on the goulais and use it for water sports and swimming. We shouldn’t have to worry about what is being leeched into it from wastewater from a huge business.
This is a horrible plan, and will greatly affect the ecosystem of the Goulais River, which many locals swim and fish out of, regardless of what your printouts and studies show.

This is not for us. We don't want it. Minimal untreated sewage that may squeak through is too much. Treated or not, this material does not belong in our river

The Goulais River is our main watershed for the area and people have wells close to it, fish, and swim in it. It is an important aquatic habitat for many animals and possible contaminants would have a disastrous domino effect from fish to eagles.

Being a resident of Goulais River, I fully support local businesses such as Searchmont Resort but if it endangers our Goulais River in any way, I am totally opposed to upgrades. We must protect our local waterways and fish.
Why should locals have to swim/drink (shore wells) in tourists sewage that’s coming from that resort. Filtered or not it’s disgusting and inhumane, look at St. Julian wastewater plant in London Ontario, It Contaminated the ground!! can you imagine what that’s doing too our river.
