As someone who travels from southern Ontario to fish brook trout on the Goulais River I find this proposal very worrying. In no way should the treated wastewater be dumped back into the river. It should go to a holding pond/leaching bed and they can use it for snow making.

We will not accept a sewage facility dumping anything into our river. My family gets its water source from that river and we will not accept a corporation to put a sewage plant upstream.

This entire project is disgusting and you should all be ashamed of yourselves for even considering this an option. You are ruining our only ski hill & our Community. Put a septic in like the rest of us or kick rocks.

Please know that, being on a septic system, I understand that Searchmont Resort could need to upgrade it's septic system. I am not knowledgeable in the workings, of their proposed waste system, other than the part of wastewater going into the Goulais River system.

My children and grandchildren children swim kayak and play in the Goulais River.
The river has become a habitat for sturgeon and other wildlife! This puts them at risk.

I have significant concerns with this proposal as both a resident of Searchmont and an avid recreational user of the Goulais river watershed. If this goes through I have no doubt it will destroy the watershed.

As the operator of a small business guiding fishing and kayaking tours on the Goulais River, I strongly oppose the proposed Searchmont Ski Resort waste water plan in its current form.

Please do not allow this to go forward! This is such a delicate ecosystem. This business can afford to make alternate arrangements for the longevity of their operations and for the area surrounding them.
