This plan is outrageous. Oakville already has a plan in place to develop Mid-town Oakville in a responsible way and without mega density that is completely out of character for the town or for any municipality in Canada, for that matter. Read more

There is already a significant slowdown every day at peak travel times. To the extent that traveling 300 m at peak hours will result in a 20 min drive. There is no conceivable reason why anyone who actually lives around or takes the GO train would want this change approved. Read more

I strongly support ERO 025-1368 to accelerate high-density, transit-oriented development at the Oakville GO station, while rejecting the Town Council’s restrictive "mid-rise" alternative. Read more

Regarding ERO 025-1368. Have any of the Ministers tried driving on Trafalgar, Speers, Cornwall, Cross during the daytime. I think not else they would not be proposing such density in such a small area. This area is already very congested with vehicle traffic. Read more

The town of Oakville cannot sustain the amount of traffic that this development will cause! We don’t have the infrastructure that this development will need. We would be losing shopping and restaurants in that area. Overall the traffic is the huge issue Read more

While I fully support intensification around major transit lines, a development of this scale isn't suitable for the site. Please work with local stakeholders and the Town of Oakville councillors and staff to develop something great for these lands. Read more

As a longtime resident of Oakville I fully support the town's midtown plan which was unanimously approved by our city council. The provincial TOC has a much too high a population density with the 11 skyrises. Read more

As a citizen of Oakville, I completely disagree with the scale of the proposal. The impact on traffic would be very high and this kind of development should not even be considered for any area in South Oakville.

The area is not designed for that sort of density. There is currently no resident building in the area, therefore there are no school for children to attend. The area would become total gridlock with the influx of cars that would come with that many people.

I am against this proposal. Oakville is a place we call home. People love this town because it offers something other places don’t have. However, the proposed development plan will negatively impact Oakville and we can no longer call it home. Read more

I dont even want to imagine the impact of this propozal will have on commuters lives. People living on those condos won't have a guarranty job reacheble by public transportation and they will just add to the trafic mess that is already in the area. Read more

I can’t believe you are proposing development of this size anywhere in Oakville. Our current infrastructure can’t accommodate the traffic we currently have let alone a community of this size. The condo market has died and you’re proposing this to accommodate the developers. Read more

No more high rise buildings! Adding density to an already dense area of Oakville will cause chaos. Please take a stand against greedy developers that do not live here and care nothing for the real experience of people in this beautiful much beloved town.

I had heard of the proposed condo building at the GO station but, until reading your article, had no idea the scale of the project. This is TOTALLY irresponsible for ALL reasons given. Read more

I believe this to be a proposal that would be highly damaging for the town of Oakville and its residents. The density is much too high, especially in an area that is already much too crowded. Read more

Hello. As a nearby resident in Oakville to this development in Midtown Oakville. I am extremely concerned for the intense densification that would overstrain all infrastructure and resources in the area. Read more

As an Oakville resident, I’m concerned about the current plan for the TOC planned for Oakville. It seems to me that the province is taking a “if you build it, they will come” approach with the current plan. My objections to the current plan are the following: Read more
