As a resident of Oakville, I am very concerned about the Minister’s Zoning Orders for the Transit-Oriented Community in the Town of Oakville. The size of the towers proposed on small areas of land are enormous. Read more

This proposed plan is poorly planned and speaks volumes about the greed of the Ford government. We do not need more condos in the GTHA, we need family homes and townhomes where families can flourish, with green spaces and no congestion. Read more

1. For the love of Pete, please stop building a glut of condos. Infrastructure will not be any to haven’t that many cars. 2. Look at the condo bust in Toronto. Learn from it. The people buying these units pre-build will be selling before they are completed. This will ruin economy. Read more

I challenge all the persons proposing this monstrous development to experience the traffic congestion NOW in the Trafalgar Road and Cross Avenue intersection between 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM on week days. Read more

This literally does not make any sense. Whining their right mind would force this through? The traffic is already very heavy in that area through most of the day. And there are no buildings of that height in Oakville. It will stick out like a sore thumb. Read more

This is the absolute worst idea for this community. It is not taking into account infrastructure restrictions, impacts on transit, lack of market for condos, the inability to support such a flux in such a density, etc. Read more

This is an absolutely outrageous plan to destroy a beautiful city. I think the possibility of an under the table deal between the Ford government and this particular developer should be investigated.

I don't support the MZO for the increased density in Oakville Midtown. Traffic in that area is already challenging during rush hour and adding 11,000 more people to the area is insane. Read more

As a resident of Oakville, I strongly object to building skyscrapers in the heart of my town. This sort of imposition from on high, justified only by the influence that some developers on the Ford government - and contrary to the wishes of our elected council - stinks.

Oakville has maintained a small town vibe with some high end properties. Although a multi condo project is need of hour for the province but a project like this is going to affect the basic fabric of the town. Read more

Another forced through Ford mega project that will painfully be pushed through to benefit his buddies and line his own pockets. Cheers to the autocratic regime we have now under Ford's new mandate which looks like it enables his gov to do whatever the heck he wants to do!! Read more

This area near the Oakville GO station is way too busy as it stands now. As someone who has taken the train from the station for over 30 years, I can accurately attest to the traffic problems in/out of that station that have increased exponentially. Read more

I am a current home owner from Oakville. I have deep concerns on how the province is trying to push its agenda without public consultation. This proposal should be put out for Oakville residents to vote for. Read more

This is deeply concerning and extremely irresponsible of the Ontario government. Oakville does not have the infrastructure to accommodate this size of project. Do better Doug.

This proposal is incredibly irresponsible. There are way too many buildings and units being proposed for an already unbelievably busy intersection in Oakville. Oakville does not have the infrastructure to support this many additional units and people in our community. Read more
