We finalized species-specific policies (government response statements) outlining the actions we intend to lead and support to protect and recover six species at risk in Ontario: four salamander species (Jefferson, Small-mouthed and two dependent Unisexual Ambystoma species), Nine-spotted Lady Beetle and River Darter.
We amended Mining Lands Policies to support the implementation of a new electronic Mining Lands Administrative System (MLAS). The amendments reflect the functionality of the MLAS and legislative changes.

We are implementing new regulations to ensure technological changes to reduce sulphur dioxide emissions from Ontario petroleum facilities are made in a timely manner. On July 3, 2018, Ontario cancelled the cap and trade program. Given that the Electric and Hydrogen Incentive Program (EHVIP) and the Workplace Electric Vehicle Charging Incentive Program (WEVCIP) was funded through cap and trade proceeds, these programs have been cancelled.

We are closing this notice and proposing species-specific policies (government response statements) for Blue Ash, Gypsy Cuckoo Bumble Bee and Kentucky Coffee-tree under Environmental Registry number 013-3605.
We proceeded with the conversion regulation which, as of April 10, 2018, the conversion date, converted all existing mining claims to new digital cell claims and boundary claims, and proceeded with the general regulation amendment and the revocation of the forms regulation as proposed.
