On July 3, 2018, Ontario cancelled the cap and trade program. Given that the Electric and Hydrogen Incentive Program (EHVIP) and the Workplace Electric Vehicle Charging Incentive Program (WEVCIP) was funded through cap and trade proceeds, these programs have been cancelled.

We are closing this notice and proposing species-specific policies (government response statements) for Blue Ash, Gypsy Cuckoo Bumble Bee and Kentucky Coffee-tree under Environmental Registry number 013-3605.
We proceeded with the conversion regulation which, as of April 10, 2018, the conversion date, converted all existing mining claims to new digital cell claims and boundary claims, and proceeded with the general regulation amendment and the revocation of the forms regulation as proposed.
A pre-conversion period was set that included a cessation of staking mining claims, the suspension of a number of transactions relating to mining claims and removed the requirement for claim holders to perform assessment work for a set time period.

We proceeded with our proposal for the new Assessment Work and Mining Claims Regulations. These revoked former regulations and set out new rules in dealing with mining claims and reporting assessment work. This reflects the changes made in Mining Act Modernization (MAM) Phase 3, and the new mining lands administration system (MLAS).

To address the need for better affordable housing choices, the Promoting Affordable Housing Act, 2016 proposed amendments to the Planning Act that would enable municipalities to use inclusionary zoning through the land-use planning system. Based on input received on this proposal, matters were considered for regulatory proposals.

We are proposing a minor change to the transition regulation for the Growth Plan for the Greater Golden Horseshoe. The change would support implementation of a standard method to calculate the amount of land needed for development until 2041, known as a land needs assessment. This will help municipalities to ensure land is used efficiently.
