We have decided to amend Ontario Regulation 111/12 under the Ontario Forest Tenure Modernization Act, 2011 to establish a second Local Forest Management Corporation.

Ontario’s Strategy to Address the Threat of Invasive Wild Pigs has been finalized. The strategy outlines a proactive approach to prevent the establishment of invasive wild pigs in the province.

We have made decisions related to three of the topics in the proposal: Harvest Approvals, Forest Manuals (one forest management plan for multiple management units) and Forest Resource Licences (digital form for issuance). Other topics in this proposal are still being considered including the other potential changes to the Forest Resource Licence.
