The Minister has issued an overall benefit permit under the Endangered Species Act, 2007 to Erin Developments Inc. and 2779181 Ontario Inc.to build a residential development that will impact three species of at-risk bats. The permit includes actions to benefit the species and minimize adverse effects and requires monitoring and reporting.

We have approved the four regulated manuals under the Crown Forest Sustainability Act. The revisions align with the draft Forest Sector Strategy and reduce burden for the forest industry while continuing to provide for the sustainability of Ontario’s Crown forests.
We have made an exemption regulation under the Environmental Assessment Act which eliminates a 30-day waiting period before the Derry Road East and Alstep Drive road improvements project in the Region of Peel can be implemented. This decision will allow the road construction project to move forward faster to improve traffic safety and traffic flow.
