We have introduced legislative and regulatory changes to enable the IESO to launch a clean energy credit (CEC) registry to track the transfer and retirement of voluntarily purchased CECs generated from Ontario’s clean electricity supply. The CEC registry will provide businesses with a new tool to meet their corporate sustainability goals.
We amended the Service of Documents Regulation under the Ontario Water Resources Act to allow Permit to Take Water documents to be served electronically through the Ministry of Environment, Conservation and Parks’ electronic system.
Amendments have been made to regulations under the Invasive Species Act, 2015, to prevent the introduction and spread of 13 invasive species and through the overland movement of watercraft.
