Regulatory changes have been made to modernize public notice requirements under the Planning Act and Development Charges Act, 1997 regarding newspaper notice and other amendments to support implementation of the Cutting Red Tape to Build More Homes Act, 2024.

The Director of Rehabilitation has made a decision on the filing of a closure plan for Inventus Mining Corp for advanced exploration activities within Clement and Pardo Townships, District of Nipissing

The Permit to Take Water No. P-300-6298735837 V1.0 was issued to Legendary Ore Mining Corporation on June 13, 2025, to renew the Permit No. 5062-9Q3L3K. Water will be taken from one pond for the purposes of mine dewatering at Alexo Open Pit, located in District of Cochrane, Ontario.

The requested additional water takings do not require an amendment to the current Permit to Take Water No. 0466-AJ8HRM. The additional sources are considered contact water and are covered under the site ECA No. 9557-AP5FSQ.

We issued a new Environmental Compliance Approval (waste disposal site) to GW Metal Mining Inc., for the operation of a solid non-hazardous waste transfer station located at 794 River Road, Pembroke City, County of Renfrew.
