The Greenbelt is a permanently protected green space of forests, wetlands, and watersheds. In this time of climate emergency, we need more verdant green spaces, not less.

Invest in population dense housing (affordable apartment buildings and public housing), and make the Greenbelt bigger.

This may be a difficult task, but both goals are necessary for long-term viability of the region.
